Sheffield is a city and metropolitan borough in South Yorkshire, England. Sheffield is so named because of its origins in a field on the River Sheaf that runs through the city.

Sheffield is a world famous city first making its name for the production of Steel earning the nick name of Steel city.  Sheffield still produces steel to this day but in recent years has become increasingly a city of sport.

The city is geographically diverse, located at the confluence of five rivers,  and like Rome built on 7 hills.    Much of the city has been built on hillsides with views into the city centre or out to the countryside. With an estimated total of over two million trees, Sheffield has more trees per person than any other city in Europe!   Sheffield is located just a few miles from the Peak District national park which was the first and largest national park in the England.
